Request a PCB Quote: Gerber, BOM & Project Details

Prepare one consistent set of files for your PCB quote. Include the current board revision, required quantity, technical requirements and delivery destination. For assembly, add the BOM, placement data and instructions that define the finished build.

Send your project for review

Define the board or assembly scope and attach the current revision. If an NDA is needed, request it first and send drawings after the terms are agreed.

Name, email and project details are required. You can send drawings later.

Up to 5 files; 10 MiB each, 25 MiB total. ZIP, PDF, XLSX, CSV, TXT, PNG, JPG, JPEG.

    Bare-board quote checklist

    ItemWhat to provide
Board dataCopper, mask and legend data from the released design, together with drill, route and board-profile information.
ConstructionLayer count, stack-up, finished thickness, material and inner and outer copper requirements.
Finish and appearanceSurface finish, solder mask, legend and any marked contact or special-finish areas.
Critical featuresControlled impedance, special vias, tolerances, slots, edge features or other requirements needing explicit review.
Flex or rigid-flexZone drawing, bend conditions, installed shape, coverlay and stiffener requirements.
Order scopeRequested quantity options, delivery destination, required milestone and acceptance documentation.

Gerber is a manufacturing data format, and the board profile and layer relationships must be unambiguous. Ucamco’s official format resources provide specifications and file-preparation guidance. Review the exported package rather than assuming that a successful export means the files describe the intended board.

    Additional files for PCB assembly

    • BOM: reference designators, quantities, complete manufacturer part numbers, fitted status and approved alternatives.
    • Placement data: position, side and rotation for the components in the requested build.
    • Assembly drawing: polarity, orientation, mechanical instructions and any unusual installation sequence.
    • Supply model: turnkey, consigned or a line-by-line split of purchasing responsibility.
    • Test package: procedure, pass/fail limits, firmware, programming instructions and fixture requirements.
    • Variant definition: the exact configuration to quote, including do-not-populate locations.

For customer-supplied material, identify what you will provide, the packaging format and when it will be available. Ask for kit quantities and any process allowance to be confirmed before shipping components. See the assembly guide for a fuller sourcing and handoff checklist.

Keep revisions and assumptions under control

Use the same part number and revision throughout the files. Include a short manifest that names the fabrication package, BOM, placement export, drawings and test procedure. Remove obsolete files from the submission package so the reviewer does not need to decide which version is current.

If a dimension, material or process is open to recommendation, say so. If it is mandatory, label it as a fixed requirement. Request a written response to any proposed deviation and identify who can approve it. A quotation that lists its assumptions is easier to evaluate than one that leaves them implicit.

What to compare when quotations arrive

Compare the accepted technical scope before comparing totals. Check whether the price includes the requested fabrication, components, setup, inspection, test, packaging and delivery arrangement. Identify tooling or fixtures separately when they matter to future reorders.

Ask how the schedule depends on file approval, material availability, customer-supplied items and test readiness. Confirm the meaning of the quoted delivery milestone. If arrival at your site is the important date, make that requirement explicit along with the receiving location.

    Final check before sending

    1. Open and review the exported manufacturing data.
    2. Match the board revision, BOM, placement data and drawings.
    3. List quantities and identify the requested assembly variant.
    4. Include critical requirements and the required quality evidence.
    5. State the destination, target milestone and project contact.

Use capabilities to flag features needing confirmation and quality control to define acceptance records. When the package is ready, Get a Quote.
